Flying West to Reach the East

                                                                         

Well, we are on our way.  The 26-hour journey to reach Shanghai has officially begun. It's 11:15 on Monday night and we are waiting to board our flight to Shanghai via Beijing. We are already bleary-eyed and we still have about two and a half hours to go before our flight and so we wait. And wait. And wait. The girls have gone in search of a little Starbucks pick-me up - mocha frappuccinos all around!  

        

As you can see, this was totally necessary as delirium was beginning to set in!  We are set to arrive in Shanghai around 10:15 local time on Wednesday, which is 7:15 pm California time on Tuesday night for those of you following along at home. That's 26 hours of total travel time from the time we left home until we arrive in China. It's gonna be a long, long day/night.
